I was poor in academics and faced multiple failures in school days. I come from a small place called Thecho, in the Lalitpur district. I have been surrounded by the Newar community where the language was Newari-dominated than the Nepali language itself. A place where it preserves the culture of Newars, local food, crops and temples. I studied near my community and was an average kid in other extracurriculars. My mother was the one who was highly affected by my grades, and then she decided to keep me in tuition classes. I mainly was bitten due to my grades as well. However, after extra polish, it didn't take much time for me to catch up on the passing marks. I questioned myself if I was poor at my studies or was the technique not suitable in my case? My tuition teacher was an idol teacher for me. I could not hold myself from giving back to students like me who require teachers who understand them.
I started teaching orphanage kids after I passed my higher study. It gave me real happiness to be connected with students. I worked as a Child Learning Facilitator for three years, where I was responsible for students' extracurricular growth and facilitated their academic support. After my undergraduate, I sought a platform where I could connect with students in a more creative way than I landed upon the HELP Saathi Programme. I felt I wouldn't be just a teacher but it's a social service to reach students of rural Nepal. I assure my two years will be a lifetime experience of learning. I will be completing this journey by giving my students an innovative space for learning. And as I am an Environment student, I look forward to engaging students' awareness and activities for protecting our environments through study.
