“My father inspired me to become a teacher”.
I come from a teaching family. My father was a teacher at the same school I used to study at. He has been a great source of motivation for teaching and becoming a teacher.
My childhood days were simple, fun and filled with laughter. I barely could relate to many of my friends' challenges because my life was undoubtedly different from theirs. Cautiously, there is a more specific realisation with time about how it was all different to me because of my background with a literate family.
It has been a great honour to come from a family where we might lack financial stability at times but are enriched with a depth understanding of life and thriving it to the best. Such a refined thought process is the injunction of education. Today, it would leave me hopeless with no degree in my hand. I am more confident these days because someone was there to push me to live life unconditionally.
Coming from a public school, acquainted with its system, and has been part of it for decades, I am well aware of its processes and functions. I notice its challenges, whereas the respect one genuinely deserves as a teacher. I have been fascinated with my teachers' knowledge and want to pursue it in my career. Even after being studious, I always felt it hard to raise my hand and ask questions in front of teachers. I have missed many things in my path because I never dared to stand in my class.
But I believe becoming a Saathi teacher would help many students like me to come in front and express themselves. Though I wanted to become a teacher, I wanted to start my teaching journey in such an organisation that works to improve primary education quality.
I am currently working as a Math Saathi Teacher at Shree Bacchalamai Basic School, Lekharka. I will be continuing this journey with more sincerity and learning every day for self-growth and my students. Also, I dream that every other child aspires to become a Teacher.
